The roots of Chrisi Milia go back to the ‘50s when the patriarch of the family, Dimosthenis Delis, got engaged in apple-tree farming.
Today his son, Alexandros Delis, continues his work with the dynamic support of the younger generation of the family.
From 2009 onwards, the entire production is focusing on organic farming. The climate and rich soil composition make the area ideal for the production of a wide range of top quality fresh fruits and nuts, included in the fresh products’ portfolio of Chrisi Milia, available in Greece and abroad.
Beyond fresh products
In 2015, Chrisi Milia shifted to a new era with the construction of a high standard cold storage facility, in a controlled atmosphere, for the benefit of its fresh products and a sophisticated fruit juice processing and cider vinegar production unit.
Quality Assurance
Aiming to produce excellent quality products, Chrisi Milia has documented and applies a Food Safety Management System in accordance with EN ISO 22000:2005, and includes all functions related to product quality and trust relationships with customers.
ISO 22000:2005 is applied not only in the processing unit but across all phases of production, starting from growth and all the way to harvesting, pretreatment of raw materials, distribution, storage, sales and consumption.
We make sure that thorough checks are being conducted every step of the way and all quality and safety standards are being met as stipulated in the respective European and national legislation for consumer products and the Food & Beverage Code.
Quality control is being conducted in products stored within the company’s premises as well as in different points in time during inventory of the storage facility in order to remove any products that may have become inappropriate during the period of storage.
Storage phase is very important especially for fresh products kept in high standard cold storage facilities with constant monitoring of temperature and moisture levels using suitable equipment.
